There is enormous global demand for USA products, particularly in emerging markets that are making large infrastructure investments. However, too few American companies are taking advantage of these important sales markets.

 

Today, nearly 95 percent of consumers live outside of the United States. Yet, less than one percent of American companies are exporting.

 

Free Trade Agreements (FTAs)

The United States has 14 FTAs in force with 20 countries, with 11 of those countries located in the Caribbean & Latin America region:  Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, and Peru.
